Interoperation Between Information Spaces on the Web
نویسنده
چکیده
In my thesis I will address the problem of interoperation between information spaces on the web. We explain how this problem is different to traditional database integration scenarios. In particular, we focus on one issue of the information integration problem peculiar to the web environment, namely linking information across sources. We use RDF as the underlying data model and representation format, and define a query and rule language where queries can span multiple sources. We show how this language can be used to relate information among sources.

The ultimate vision of the Semantic Web (SW) is to provide users with the capability of delegating complex tasks to intelligent agents. The latter, acting in an interoperable and information-rich Web environment, will efficiently satisfy their users’ requests in a variety of real-life applications. Much work has been done on SW information agents for Web-based query answering; a variety of mult...
متن کاملdesigning and implementing a 3D indoor navigation web application
During the recent years, the need arises for indoor navigation systems for guidance of a client in natural hazards and fire, due to the fact that human settlements have been complicating. This research paper aims to design and implement a visual indoor navigation web application. The designed system processes CityGML data model automatically and then, extracts semantic, topologic and geometric...

Meta modeling is an effective approach to implement interoperability among distributed and heterogeneous information sources on Web. MMFI (Framework for Metamodel Interoperability) is a set of meta objects and Metamodel constructs to be used in the development a metamodel in actual implementation of information registry and repository. As a scalable solution to requirements of semantic interope...
متن کاملFormal versus Material Ontologies for Information Systems Interoperation in the Semantic Web
Information systems ontology is intended to facilitate interoperability among the many applications which are now becoming available on the Internet. In particular, it is intended to facilitate the development of intelligent agents which can automate a large part of the task of a user achieving some end employing multiple autonomous applications. A large number of ontologies exist supporting sp...
متن کاملSemantic Web Enabled E-Government Services
We propose a novel approach for organizing and describing e-government services on the envisioned Semantic Web. We combine the emerging concepts of Web services and ontologies to cater for Semantic Web enabled e-government services. This would lay the ground for the automatic selection, interoperation, and composition of e-government services.
